Old Skool Sundays launched Sunday 8th November 2015 and is a weekly hangout for fun-loving people mixing nostalgic tv, music and games with great food and drinks. The event is a collaboration between three of London’s leading R&B and Hip Hop Brands (Faded, Yo Froback and Fix) and takes place at the retro-styled venue Far Rockaway found nestled in the heart of Shoreditch, London.
The main event takes over Far Rockaway’s lounge area with comfy sofas and tables featuring a variety of games from connect 4 and giant jenga to beer pong and noughts & crosses. The DJs spin classic vinyl relaying hits from the Noughties and Nineties across a variety of music genres including Pop, R&B, Soul, Hip Hop and Garage only taking a break to throw down an hour of Old Skool Karaoke for all to partake in and enjoy. We also have retro gaming consoles for those wanting to relive the super nintendo or sega mega drive experience.
In case you’re in the mood to sit back and watch some nostalgic tv, we also have our 90’s tv cinema room airing a selection of your favourite teen and childhood tv shows including Saved By The Bell, Kenan & Kel, Happy Days, Dexter’s Lab, Different Strokes, Friends and many more.
Then comes the food, drink and snacks. Grab a box of popcorn for your tv screening from our freshly made retro popcorn maker. The venue’s menu also caters for everything you desire from cocktails, spirits, beer, cider or wine all the way to milkshakes, waffles, wings, fries, pizza or burgers.
